Island Health is looking to hire physicians in modern urban centres alongside close-knit coastal communities, with a stunning natural backdrop and access to a year-round recreational paradise. Populations range from 5,000 to 390,000. With some of the warmest climate in Canada, and easy access to Seattle and Vancouver, this area makes for the perfect location to find your ideal work-life balance.
We are looking for providers with a commitment to continuous learning, who will provide culturally informed care and a safe and welcoming space for patients to receive care.
Opportunities include roles such as Urgent and Primary Care Centres in the Cowichan Valley, private clinics across the region and specialized programs such as the Eating Disorders Program in Nanaimo. We're here for you every step of the way as you find your place.
Island Health also has academic affiliation with the University of British Columbia's Island Medical program and offers teaching opportunities through the Family Practice Residency Program.
